Performance Improvement - Causal Investigation and Identification Training Workshop
| Target Audience: | Front / First Line Supervisors, Junior Managers, Team and Project Leaders. |
| Aims of Programme: | To provide delegates with a thorough understanding of a range of problem-solving tools and techniques and of how to apply these to problems or constraints which they are members of their various teams identify and which, if addressed, would lead to significant improvement in performance. Particular attention will be paid to the concept and philosophy of Root Cause Analysis and of how this tool can be applied to investigations which are concerned with establishing causation as a basis for future prevention of the identified problems or constraints. |
| Learning Style: | The training is workshop-based and takes the form of facilitated learning. Delegates will have the opportunity to practice using the tools and techniques of Root Cause Analysisin a structured and progressive manner by applying them to a real and identifiable problem from their own individual professional working environment. Progress and outcomes will by shared within the delegate group throughout the workshop so as to ensure that the learning is as broad as can be achieved, and embedded within each delegate in a positive and enthusiastic way. The workshop is therefore highly participative, dynamic and interactive. |
| Outcomes: | The result of this programme is the creation of a group of skilled and committed individuals who, because of the key role roles or operational responsibilities which they perform, are crucially placed to make significant improvements in their working environments and, as a consequence of tackling an operational issue within the workshop, will already have begun that process. |
