Consultancy Services - Policy Development and Co-ordination
| Target Audience: | Directors / Deputy Directors / Associate Directors and other senior executives with specific policy-holder responsibilities for the key policies of governance, risk management and human resources in particular. |
| Aims of Service: | This service is provided against the overriding imperative of the need for all organisations to constantly apprise and up-date their respective policies, processes and procedures in the light of legislative change affecting the employment and management of staff. In meeting this need, the service caters for the evolving Human Rights law emanating from Europe and being integrated with UK domestic law, particularly in such key areas as discrimination, disability, grievance and dismissal, as well as proposed legislative changes in the realm of Corporate Governance. The service is extended, and is therefore more comprehensive, in that it takes into account important and relevant legal decisions and stated cases emanating from the House of Lords, the High Court, and such bodies as Employment Tribunals. |
| Service Style: | The service is provided in two ways. Firstly, as a consultancy service provided for a specific period of time to achieve identified and agreed objectives such as, for example, the conduct of a review into an organisation’s policies followed by the submission of a set of recommendations for implementation. Secondly and lastly, by the retention of those services on an annual basis specifically designed to advise on the need to up-date policies and procedures in the light of legislative changes or relevant stated cases or other decisions. |
| Outcomes: | The outcome of the provision of this service is an organisation’s confidence and reassurance that its key policies and procedures are up-to-date and co-ordinated, and that its decision making is both robust and capable of standing scrutiny, review and, possibly, challenge in contentious matters. This outcome enables the organisation’s managers to discharge their professional responsibilities with integrity and greater effectiveness. A direct consequence of these outcomes is that of reduced costs and the avoidance of wasted effort usually associated with having to address issues from a remedial, as opposed to a preventative, standpoint. |
| Proposed Dates: | The service is available throughout the year and is commissioned according to the needs of each client. |
| Number of Clients: | There are currently no restrictions on the number of clients or business sectors catered for by this service. |
| Duration: | All aspects of this service, its content as well as duration, are determined by and agreed with each client from the outset |
| Cost: | The service is provided on an hourly basis of £150. |
